Ella Jay Rice Ogle, born July 21, 1929, of 154 Charland Forest Rd., passed away October 23, 2015 at Stone Creek Health and Rehabilitation. She was a native of Madison County and the daughter of the late Dillard H. and Lela Messer Rice. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Weaver Ogle, sisters, Nina Ramsey and Lucy Buckner; brothers, Dewey, Horace and Howard Rice.
Mrs. Ogle is survived by daughters, Luci Ogle Smith and Hilda Ogle Miller (James); grandchildren, Blaine Smith (Jeanne), Connie Crosby (Scott), Paula Mead (Chris); great- grandchildren, Cindy Watrous (Jaytee), Hannah Koch, Morgan Lovelace, Adam and Taylor Smith, Anna and Andrew Mead; great-great-grandchild, Joe Watrous.
A funeral service will be held 11:00am Monday, October 26, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Dr. Harry Culbertson and brother Lester Wilde will conduct the service. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Garden of Memories. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
The family would like to thank the staff of Stone Creek Health and Rehabilitation for the love and care they gave to Mrs. Ogle during her stay.
