Condolence: Words escape me right now on the passing of this great man. Barry was the sweetest man I have ever met, he and my daddy where the best of friends. Sarge I love you and miss you so terribly and I thank you for allowing myself and my Daddy into your big heart. You were always a 2 nd Daddy to me . God received another beloved angel back into his presence and my Daddy (Bill Carver ) welcomed his best friend to his heavenly home and I know heaven is full of laughter now. Until we meet again in glory land, I love you and you will never be forgotten.

Condolence: I am so sorry and very saddened to hear of Sarge's passing. I met him while I was working at Haywood Oil on Leicester Hwy many years ago. He certainly brightened our days and if he didn't come by every day we got concerned & went to check on him. That seemed to surprise him that we cared so much but I know the feeling was mutual. He showed his feelings by his actions. I've called on him to go to Piney Grove Church with me to look at my grandparents graves and he jumped in the car and went. When my dad broke his leg Barry was the first person in our garden working in the corn. I can't begin to say what a good friend he was. It's funny tho, I was scared of him the first time I saw him. He came towards me talking loudly in that deep voice of his with those big hands stretched out like he was going to choke me! Of course he didn't but what an impression he made! Then and there he gave me a nickname that sticks to this day among our Leicester Hwy friends. I will sure miss Sarge. He was one of a kind!

Condolence: I do not have the words to say how I felt about Sarge. I am sure many feel that way too.
We have laughed, played jokes and gone fishing. One day my youngest son was sick and Barry watched him while I picked up my oldest. I left them at the pool and when I returned they both had been kicked out by management for 2 hours for putting the pool furniture in the pool!!!
My heart is so sad today, Sarge I love you and always will!!
Prayers to the family and friends.
