Elena Anderson Gosnell 92, of Marshall passed away Sunday, November 27, 2016. She was a native of Madison County and daughter of the late William Curtis and Martha Roberts Anderson. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, James Gosnell; daughter Dale Ann Gosnell, five sisters and eight brothers.
She is survived by her daughters, Connie Sluder, Andrey Trexler, Martha McElrath, Cathy Blackwell and Carol Harmon; son, James Gosnell; two siblings, twelve grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and her furry, little, friend “Cinnamon”.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm Friday, December 2, 2016 in Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverends Preston Church and David Ingram will officiate. Burial will follow in the Walnut Extension Cemetery. The family will receive friends 11 – 1pm prior to the service in the chapel.
The family would like to extend a Special Thanks to nieces, Wilma Anderson and Willie Ogle and the Caregivers at the Brian Center in Weaverville for the loving care given to their mother.
