Lynda retired from GMAC after working in Asheville, Chicago area and finally Atlanta offices. She graduated from Mars Hill High School and attended Western Carolina University. She formerly attended First Baptist Church of Woodstock, GA and had long been an active member of Bethel Baptist Church, Mars Hill. Lynda loved her dogs, enjoyed traveling, visiting her family and friends and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a great cook and left behind many memories shared with these talents.
Lynda was born March 6, 1942, to the late Boyd and Paris Hamlin Hill. She is preceded in death by her husband Gene Bolden, aunts, Geneva Maynard, Ruby Hill, and Orla Roberts; uncles Levi, Kermit and Euris Hamlin and five cousins.
Left to treasure her memories are her sons, Greg (Lynn) Bailey of Canton and Shane (fiancé Kassie Robinson) Bailey of Mars Hill; brother, Lanny Hill (Guydeene) Hill; grandchildren, Parker Bailey (Jena) of Fort Benning, GA, Garren (of Canton), Ebanie, Trenton, Tanner and Tucker Bailey; as well as her first great-grandchild, Emerson Lane expected in February 2017. She is also survived by her Aunt Evelyn and Uncle Bacchus McPeters. Lynda was fortunate to have thirteen surviving cousins; among those were Connie, Debbie, Karen, Patsy and Sandra who were like sisters to her as well as one niece, one nephew and four great-nieces and nephews.
Please join the family to celebrate her life at Bethel Baptist Church at 1:00 pm, Monday, December 26, 2016 with Rev. Troy Rogers officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Briggs Cemetery.
