Birdie Robinson Metcalf, 87, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017. She was a native of Madison County and daughter of the late Gaither and Lillie Taylor Robinson. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Roy Metcalf and son, Coy Lee Metcalf.
She is survived by her sisters, Magdalene Shepherd, and Bonnie Metcalf. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A funeral service will be held 2:00PM Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverends Randy Sprinkle and Bill Ponder will officiate. Burial will follow in the Chambers Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1-2:00pm prior to the service.
