Bertha “Doad” Cutshaw Shelton, of Arden, 80, passed away Monday, April 10, 2017. She was the daughter of the late Sherman and Nancy Metcalf Cutshaw. She is preceded in death by two infant children, one sister and 4 brothers.
She is survived by her husband James Shelton, daughter, Teresa Payne (Fiancé John); sisters, Pansy Roberts (John “Dick”), Lucy “Moose” Chambers and Glenna “Peanut” Jackson (Gene); brothers, James “JC” Cutshaw, Ricky Cutshaw (Lenda), Larry Cutshaw (Lila) and Michael “Peapicker” Cutshaw (Brenda); grandchildren, Krystal Paulson (Shannon), Logan and Lauren Payne; one great grandchild, Abby Paulson, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
The family will receive friends Friday, April 14, 2017, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday with Reverends Eddie Roberts and Evert Shelton officiating. Burial will follow at Lisenbee Cemetery.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Nurse Roxi, Care Partners Home Hospice and John F. Keever Solace Hospice for their loving care.
