Ellen Johnson (Norton) `
Ellen Norton Johnson, 78 of Lisenbee Road, passed away at her home Sunday, April 16, 2017. She was the daughter of the late Matthew and Minnie Metcalf Norton. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Euylas Grant Johnson, a daughter, Eva Gail Johnson also three brothers and one sister.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by daughters, Jeanette Johnson, Bonnie Metcalf (Steve), Juanita Johnson; son Buster Johnson (Jeraldine); eight living siblings; ten grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 1:00 – 2:00PM Friday, April 21, 2017 in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. The funeral will be held at 2:00PM with Reverends Raymond Cantrell, Evert Shelton and Josh Hughes officiating. Music will be performed by Linda Cantrell. Burial will follow in the Johnson Family Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations made to Blue Ridge Funeral Service, PO Box 27, Mars Hill, NC 28754; Care Partners Foundations PO Box 25338, Asheville NC 28813 or Cancer Care of WNC, 21 Hospital Drive 4th Floor, Asheville, NC 28801. The family would like to thank the Cancer Care Center and Care Partners Home Hospice for their loving care and many others for their cards and support.
