Condolence: Although I did not know Colby well, this is terrible news and leaves me utterly speechless.
My heart breaks for all his loved ones and those who were lucky enough to get to know him better.
I was an insecure exchange student in a class at WCU that was way beyond what I thought I could do and Colby was kind enough to take me seriously as a peer and encourage my studies. As a scholar, he was almost intimidatingly good and left me inspired to continue and advance my education.
As a classmate, not only his brilliance, but kindness and shone through every week and thus made my experience all the better.
