Obituary for Joey Lee Banks
Joey Lee Banks, 33, of Buncombe County, went home to be with the Lord at, June 3, 2017, while at the Johnson City Medical Center. He is preceded in death by grandparents Iris and J.B. Robinson. Joey was a hard worker and great provider for his family. He loved his wife and two children with all his heart.
Joey is the husband of Ashley Rhodes Banks, father to Hunter and Hayden Banks, a brother to Jeremy, Jason, Joshua and Jody, the son of Rita Blankenship Banks and Gary Justice, grandson of Paul and Alene Blankenship, and an uncle to several nieces and nephews. Joey is also survived by many more family members and his coworkers who he loved like family.
A Celebration of Joey's life will be 6:00pm Friday, June 9, 2017 at Calvary Worship Center, 2285 Skyway Dr., Marshall, NC 28753. Reverends Rusty Smart, Billy Murray and Larry Rogers will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5-6:00pm prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to help with the unexpected costs by donating to www.youcaring.com/ashleyrhodesbanks-839713. Joey was the sole provider for his family and did not have health or life insurance.
