Obituary for Kenneth Lee Geiser

Kenneth Lee  Geiser
Kenneth Lee (Ken) Geiser, age 78, of Mars Hill, NC, went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, June 8th, 2017 at the Brian Center. He was born on April 8, 1939, in Orrville, OH, the son of Don and Lydia (Falb) Geiser. Ken was united in marriage to Jackie Clinton on May 26, 1961, in Orrville. She survives him.

He was a 1957 graduate of Dalton High School, and served in the US Army from 1958 to 1961.Ken was a long distance truck driver for years. Later he sold cars in Massillon for George Waikem Ford and eventually sold insurance for Metlife. He was diagnosed with MS in 1988 and took up woodworking to keep himself busy.
Ken and Jackie eventually moved to FL where they lived for 26 years. They were members of the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church in Winter Haven, where he served filling in as a Sunday school teacher as needed. They lived in Orange Manor West and he managed the loan department for 20 years, where he enjoyed maintaining the bikes for the Snow Birds.

In addition to his wife, Jackie, he is survived by four daughters, Cherrie (Skip) Heidelbach of Atlanta, GA, Lorrie (Tom) Holm of Kernersville, NC, Terrie Geiser of Atlanta, GA, and Gerrie (Rodney) DeLoach, of Mars Hill, NC; grandchildren, Shaun Eggleston, Brandy Eggleston, Amelia Rafferty, Patrick Rafferty, Jazmin DeLoach and Nicolas DeLoach and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Ralphie and Robert.

A committal service will take place at 12:00 PM Friday, June 16, 2016 in WNC Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain.
