Obituary for Harlon Shelton
Harlon Shelton, 67, of 4014 Grapevine Rd., passed away July 12, 2017 at his residence. Harlon was the son of the late Rev. Edd and Viola Carver Shelton. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by a sister Louise Kehoe and a brother Harold Shelton. Harlon loved farming with his two sons.
Harlon is survived by his wife, Nellie Norton Shelton; sons, Eddie Shelton (Stephanie), Paul Shelton (Jessy); sisters, Lucille Pack (Brittan), Joyce Coates (Arvol), Jean Freeman (Mike); grandchildren, Shania Jamerson, Haylee, Hollie, Hayden, Max, Lilly, Leah and Henry Shelton.
A funeral service will be held 2:00pm Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverends Phillip Parker and Bill Franklin will officiate. The burial will follow in the Edd Shelton family cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12-2:00pm prior to the service.
