Pearl Massey (Anderson)
Pearl Anderson Massey, November 9, 1927 - August 15, 2017. She was a resident of the Big Pine area, native of Madison County and daughter of the late John Ervin and Maude Anderson. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, McKinley Massey, daughter; Teresa Massey Thomas, grandson; Rickey Joe Cody, sister; Beatrice Anderson Ferguson (Wayne) and brothers; Robert, Clyde, Berlin (Gertie) and Earl (Marie) Anderson. Mrs. Massey was a founding member of Prices Chapel Baptist Church and retired employee of Micro-Switch.
She is survived by her daughter; Pam Cooper (Tommy), grandchildren; Lisa Cody (Lyndon Worley), Becky Rice (Todd), Richard Thomas, Stacey Poore (Lee) and Jason Reed (Becky), great grandchildren; Tyler Thomas, Elisabeth Rice, Dylan Ramsey (Ashley), Savannah Poore, Jessica and William Thomas, Myles and Myla Rice, Cierra, Summer, Hunter and Cayleigh Reed, great great-granddaughter; Alyssa Sawyer.
The family will receive friends 11:00 – 12:00 PM Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Prices Chapel Baptist Church. The funeral service will be held at 12:00PM with Reverend David Brigmon officiating. Burial will follow in the Crooked Ridge Cemetery. Pallbearers are; Richard and William Thomas, Jason Reed, Dylan Ramsey, Tyler Thomas and Myles Rice.
