Obituary for Jerry Arthur Shamblin
Jerry Arthur Shamblin, 81, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2017. He was the son of the late Carl and Virginia Jasper Shamblin. He is preceded in death by his wife, Pamela Cole Shamblin and a siser, Pauline Aldridge.
He is survived by his stepsons, David Brian Edmonds (Lisa), Tracy O’Neal Edmonds (Kelley) and Shannon Lee Edmonds (Ashley); his children, Barbara Jo, Belinda Mae, Alana Carol, Constance Marie, Tammy Loretta and Jerry, Jr.; sisters, Patsy Becker, and Georgia Grider, and brother Richard Shamblin; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Jerry retired as a security supervisor of 15 years at Mission Hospital and served honorably in the USMC from 1954 until 1959.
A funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Burial will be at 10:00 am, Friday, September 1, 2017 at WNC Veterans Cemetery.
