Obituary for Hattie Lee Hailey (Murray)
Hattie Murray Hailey, 85 of Old Murray Road passed away Thursday, August 31, 2017. She was a Native of Madison County and daughter of the late Dick and Esta Hylemon Murray. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband John H. Hailey; infant daughter, Nancy; sisters, Atlas Crain and Irene Edsall; brothers, Leonard, Jennings, Bill and Ovalee Murray.
She is survived by her daughters, Elissa Lively (Alex) and Cheryl Gocke (Tom); sister, Estie Brent; brother, Joel Murray (Nora); grandchildren, Maggie Guiles (Jeremy), Scott and Ross Lively and Hailey Gocke; other relatives and more friends that we can count.
The family will receive friends 2:00 – 4:00PM Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Bethel Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow visitation at 4:00. Reverend Troy Rogers will officiate. Burial will be held in the Murray Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to be made in memory of Hattie’s volunteer work at: Hospice of Madison County, Beech Glenn Community Center or Madison Health and Rehabilitation Center.
