Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Robert Chapman can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Ila Ball Teague

I have fond memories of my college days at Mars Hill and getting to know Melanie Chapman Vinten-Johansen, as a fellow Home Economics major, and Dr. and Mrs. Chapman. I remember taking a January Mimi-mester class that they taught together on decoupage and needlepoint. What a delightful couple and the love and respect they had for each other was very evident. Dr. Chapman's gentile demeanor and wonderful head of white hair will be missed in the greater Mars Hill area and among MHU alumni. (Ila Ball Teague)
