Obituary for Penelope Ann "Penny" Frisby (Frisby)
Penelope “Penny” Ann Frisby, 56 of Weaverville passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2017. She was the first born to her parents, the late Robert “Bob” Frisby and JoAnn Thomas Frisby of Walnut. She was a loving daughter, sister, cousin, aunt, friend and she was always caring for others. Most recently she helped take care of her cousin “David Sprinkle” who was dying of cancer.
Penny is survived by her mother, JoAnn Thomas Frisby; brothers, Robert Frisby (Annette) of Weaverville and Paul Frisby (Patsy) of Marshall and sister, Robin Bishop (Randy) of Marshall. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews who she loved dearly and was always supporting and spending time with; Sarah Bishop (Curtis Ball), Elijah, Canaan, Madeline, and Conner Frisby and Mary Bishop; special cousins, Kenny Ray, Linda Bullock and many other aunts, uncles and cousins. Penny is also survived by her beloved dog “Roco”, which she adopted from the Madison County Animal Shelter. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
A private graveside service will be held Monday, October 30, 2017 with Brother Sam Adams officiating.
A Celebration of Penny’s Life will be held 4:00 -7:00pm Monday, October 30, 2017 at Freedom Christian Church, located on Hwy 25-70, Marshall. The family has requested in lieu of flowers, memorials made in Penny’s name to: The Madison County Animal Shelter, 389 Long Branch Rd., Marshall, NC 28753.
