Barbara Cogdill Wood, 72, of Old Dixie Rd., Hot Springs, passed away Monday, January 29, 2018 at John F. Keever Solace Center. She was the daughter of William Daniel and Omah Waldroup Cogdill. Mrs. Wood loved her God, her family and friends and she loved life. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.
She is survived by her husband, H. C. Wood; daughter, Mary Ann Wood (Arne); sons, Roger Kent (Tammy), Tony Kent (Regina) and Clinton Wood (Cindy); sisters Opal Waldroup, Faye Bunk; brother Dewayne Cogdill; grandchildren, Roger Kent Jr., Amber Staude, Ashley Kent, Darren Wood, Megan Chandler, Dean and Jackson Webb, Kendall Wilson and Samantha Gillette; eight great grandchildren; special friends Genia Peterson, Jewel Hensley and Judy Fowler; 7 sisters-in-law, 2 brothers-in-law and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 2:00PM Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Fairview Methodist Church. Reverends Randy Wood, Paul Moore and Jerry Warren will officiate. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the church.
The family would like to say special thanks to the Madison Hospice and John F. Keever Solace Center for their care of their loved one.
