Florence Griffin Ammons, 89, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, February 14, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Posey and Datha Slagle Griffin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Arthur Ammons; sister, Dolores Griffin; and brothers, James, and Loy Griffin.
She is survived by her children, Sandra Holcombe, and Charles Ammons (Dianne); brother, Claude Griffin (Helen); grandchildren, Ryan Ammons (Missy), Dana Holcombe and Michael Holcombe; and special great grandchildren, Allie and Jade Ammons.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 17th, 2018 in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. A service will be held at 2:00 pm with Rev. Gary Coates officiating. Burial will follow at Mars Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
