Condolence From: Steve Honeycutt
Condolence: I am sorry to hear of Mrs. Sluders passing. I visited with her about a week ago and enjoyed the time I had with her and her daughter. She was loved and honored by her church, Paynes Chapel. You will be in my prayers.

Condolence From: Marie Moseley
Condolence: For 96 years, my cousin Kat had a positive impact on her family, church, friends and community. She shared her beautiful quilt artwork with everyone, would give a quilt to anyone who needed one and used her sewing skills to help others. She was a comfort to so many through words and deeds. As a family historian for me, she shared priceless information and insightful humor from how our grandmother told her about how our great-grandmother put fodder behind her saddle and went off to feed the animals during the civil war to the proper uses she and her sister Elva found for Prince Edward tobacco tins when they were children. Her legacy is exhibited in the talent and love of her daughters Rieta and Carolyn and their children and grandchildren. For many decades I loved to make the peaceful drive up Little Pine to listen to the latest news. We are all blessed for knowing her. She will be so missed.
Her daughters and their families are in our thoughts and prayers.

Condolence: Rieta and Carolyn, I am saddened to learn of the passing of your sweet Mother. She was always a gracious and kind person and I was proud to know we were part of the same extended Ball Family. She and your Dad, Lon, were wonderful friends to my parents. Condolence From: Roger and Eunice Everett
Condolence: We are so very sad to hear of the passing of our friend, Mrs. Kathleen (Kat) Sluder. We met Kat soon after we acquired a cabin on Secluded Valley Road. We often saw her at Payne’s Chapel during the summers when we spent time in our cabin. On occasion after church we would enjoy lunch together at a local restaurant. We often stopped by for a short visit and found her to be a delight to talk to. Kat accommodated us by letting people have a key to access our property for various reasons. Always a good neighbor, Kat was kind and helpful. We will miss her. We offer our sympathy and condolences to her family on the loss of a great lady and a loving family member. May God bless all of you.
