Obituary for Hazel Marie Lunsford (Moore)
Hazel Marie Moore Lunsford, 81, of Dula Springs Rd. passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018. She was a native of Buncombe County, daughter of the late Chester and Edith Chandler Moore and the oldest of 14 children. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Robert Lunsford and sons, Doyle and Michael Lunsford.
She is survived by her daughters, Pam Lunsford, Geraldine McMinn (Roger); son, Robert “Jackie” Lunsford; eleven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 2:00PM Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverends Larry Moore and Larry Rogers will officiate. Burial will follow in the Clarks Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends 12:00 – 2:00PM prior to the service.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and loved everyone she met. Hazel never meet a stranger and was momma to everyone.
