James Wiley Council, Jr., of Weaverville, passed away at his home Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at age 81. He was the son of the late James and Ivory Shepherd Council, Sr. He is preceded in death by a son, Edwin Council and great grandson Bently James Council.
He is survived by his wife of 59 yrs, Glennis Thomas Council; sons, Philip and Claude Council; sister, Patsy Cole; grandsons, Edwin, Philip, James and Jonathan Council and great granddaughter, Kadence Council.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm Saturday, January 21, 2017 in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at the Council Family Cemetery.
