Obituary for Lue Allon Silver

Lue Allon Silver, 82, passed away at home, after a long illness, on November 19, 2017 with family and loved ones at his side. He was born November 26, 1934 to the late Bill and Ellen Allen Silver and Thursie Green Silver. Allon was a member of the Mars Hill VFW Post #5483. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother Lenard Silver of Marshall; sister, Jo Ellen Parris of Weaverville, and a brother in law, Charles Wills of Hot Springs.
He is survived by his wife of almost 62 years, Anna Belle Wyatt Silver. He was a loving father of daughter, Anna Lou Silver Warrick and husband David of Autryville, NC; sons, Michael Silver and wife Abby of Asheville, Phillip Silver and wife Angela of Mars Hill. Allon was blessed with nine grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by four sisters, Maxine Wills of Hot Springs, Jean Coffee (Bill) of Asheville, Judy Ward (Stanley) of Leicester, Sylvia Joyce Silver of Marshall and a brother Conley Silver (Katherine) of Marshall, sister in law, Betty Silver of Marshall and a brother in law Johnny Parris of Weaverville.
The family will receive friends 6-8:00pm Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Blue Ridge Funeral Service. A graveside service will be held 2:00pm Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Clark Family Cemetery, in the Grapevine Community. Reverend Danny Jenkins will officiate. Military rites will be performed by North Carolina National Guard. Pallbearers will be grandsons and one great grandson. Honorary pallbearers will be Roger Edmonds, Donald Hoyle and Gary Ealey.
