Obituary for Alice Susan Droller (Tracy)

Alice Tracy Droller passed on March 7, 2023, surrounded by family in Asheville, North Carolina. Born
October 22, 1949, in Omaha, Nebraska, she is reunited with her parents, Morton R. Tracy and Gladys G.
Shaw, as well as her beloved nephew, Tyler Rosenberg.

Alice was a graduate of Bridgeport (CT) High School, Class of 1967. She was a working mom and
eventually returned to school to pursue a career in nursing. She graduated from Bridgeport Hospital
School of Nursing in 1993. Alice was beloved by her patients throughout Naugatuck Valley. She was an animal lover, gardener, and avid reader who passed on these passions to her children and
grandchildren. Her family will miss her sense of humor and will carry her legacy of kindness.
Alice’s exquisite taste in arts and decorating is reflected not only in Alice and Dave’s home in Mars Hill
but also, in her thoughtful gifts to family and friends. Alice was known for and especially proud of her unique ability to bring out the “full potential” of the many dogs that she loved.

Alice is survived by the love of her life, David Droller; sister Lois (Daniel) Rosenberg; brother Tony
(Charline) Shaw; sister Barbara Tracy; daughter Alison (Kevin) Jamieson; son Louis (Jackie) Juliano; ten
grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and many nieces, nephews, friends, and beloved rescue dogs
Honey and Ellie.

A private memorial service will be held in the future. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider supporting Little Guild Animal Shelter in West Cornwall CT or Friends of Madison County Animals in
Marshall NC.
