Obituary for Annette Chandler (Roberts)

Marilyn Annette Chandler, 83, of Weaverville, passed away on June 28, 2022. She is preceded in death by her parents Clyde W. Roberts and Frances Lunsford Roberts. Annette was a member of Pleasant Grove Church for 62 years, also serving as the pianist and organist for 57 years. She loved playing softball, bowling, the Atlanta Braves, and taking vacations with her family. She was a devoted wife to her loving husband and was always at the bedside during illnesses in the family. Annette was a true homemaker and dedicated farmers wife.

Annette is survived by her husband of 70 years: Dwight Chandler; daughters: Terie Brank, Melia Chandler Leffew; son: Randy Chandler; grandchildren: Jody R. Chandler (Melody), Brandi Dawn Tweed (Jason), Carie Hadley, Michael Johnson (Sadie), Jeremy Johnson (Katrina), Ashley Leffew (Damon), Paige Leffew; 11 great grandchildren; as well as 6 great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Chandler Family Cemetery. Reverends Ray Bailey and Rick Johnson will officiate. The body will lie in state at Blue Ridge Funeral Service on Friday, July 1, 2022, from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm, the family will not be present.
