Annie Faye Murphy Boone, 84, of Weaverville, NC passed away July 29, 2023, in her home surrounded by family she loved. She was the daughter of the late Reverend John Sam and Thelma Gardner Murphy. Annie was a charter member at Marshall Community Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Fuller Sams, son Tommy Sams and brothers Jim, Ed, and Larry Dale.
She is survived by children Renee Aylward (Alastair), Larry Sams (Regina), Annette Hensley, Sherry Chandler (Kenneth) and Eric Sams (Ginger); grandkids Bryan, Denise, Lauren, Beth, Tonya (Gilberto), Trevor (Brooke), Derick (Jessie), Melissa (Kenny), Kendra (Misty), John Sams, Elisabeth, Cameron and Ben; Great Grandkids Ava, Issac, Lane, Millie, Connor, Caden, Mason, Kaitlyn, Bryson, Levi, Paxton, Joshlyn, Johnny, Allie Mae, Hannah, Justin, Sarah, Anna Leigh, Rhylon, Ivy and Mitchell; great-great grandkids Riggin, Madilynn, Vera and Myles; sister Gladys Buck; brothers Jerry, Johnny, Robert and Paul.
A funeral will be held 1:00pm Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverend’s Roger Massey and Powell Young will officiate. Burial will follow in the Bowditch Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
