Carrie Jane “Janie” Shelton Moore, 86, of Marshall went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 15, 2019. Janie was born January 31, 1933 in Asheville, NC to her late parents John and Lettie Lunsford. She was a member of Carmen Church of God and loved the Lord, her family, and friends. She was always helping others, caring and loving to all. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Shelton and also husband, Boyd Moore; sisters, Barbara King, Brenda Elkins; brothers, Roy Lunsford, Robert Lee “Buddy” Lunsford, Guryl Lunsford; and one grandson, Ashley Landers.

She is survived by daughter, Patricia Landers (Leonard); son, Tommie Shelton (Linda). Also left to cherish her memory are grandchildren, Tina Thorpe (Kenney), Connie Metcalf (Herman), Randy Shelton (Heather), Pam Owenby (Rick), Tunya Huskins (Lee); 3 step grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren, 2 step great great grandchildren, 2 brothers, Charles Lunsford and Bill Lunsford; step son, Gerald Moore (Wanda); sisters in law, Mildred Young (Eddie), Maxine Hensley, Lillian Landreth; several nieces and nephews and special ex-grandson in law, Travis Clark.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, December 17th, 2019 at Carmen Church of God with Reverends Eric Young and Cameron Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
