Obituary for David K. Plemmons
David K. Plemmons, age 84, passed away on Tuesday September 19, 2023. He was born on September 14, 1939, in Madison County to the late Farida and Viola Haney Plemmons.
David was a preacher that had pastored at 7 churches in the surrounding area. He was a member of Mt. Sheba Baptist Church and a US Air Force Veteran. David was a very loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Friend, and Pastor.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 sisters, and 6 brothers.
David is survived by his wife of 63 yrs., Ursula Schmidt Plemmons; daughters, Donna Plemmons, Mary Plemmons, and Nancy Clevenger; sons, Ronald Plemmons (Roxie), Robert Plemmons, and Richard Plemmons (Krystal); grandchildren, Lauren, Ashley, Ryan, Danielle, Corrinne, and Amber; 13 great grandchildren; sister, Joy Radford; and several nieces, and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday September 25, 2023, in Mt. Sheba Baptist Church. Reverends Steve Rhinehart and Kenneth Rhinehart will officiate. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory, Asheville. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at the church prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mt. Sheba Baptist Church, 870 New Stock Road, Weaverville, NC 28787.
