Derek “Duck” John Ball, 57, of Stoney Fork Road passed away at his home on Thursday, April 15, 2021. He was born on April 11, 1964 to the late Frank O’Neal and Grace Harwood Ball. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Eugene O’Neal and Richard Lee Ball.
He is survived by a daughter, Brandy Duffy; sons, Brandon Ball and Derek “Buck” Ball, Jr; brothers, Frankie “Pete” Ball and David Ball; grandchildren, Derek “Fox” John Ball III, Baker Duffy, Trenton Ball and Aubrie Ball, and his pets; “Toby” his Golden Doodle and “Kisses” his Poodle.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00PM Monday, April 19, 2021 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverend Roy Shepherd will officiate., Burial will follow in the Webb Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:30 to 1:00PM prior to the service.
