Obituary for Flossie Mae Harwood
Flossie Mae Harwood, age 90, of Weaverville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 24, 2023.
Flossie was born June 9, 1932, in Buncombe County to the late Charlie and Alta Harwood. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 11 siblings.
She is survived by 6 nieces; 2 nephews; and 3 additional generations of great nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday April 28, 2023, at 2:00 pm in Longs Chapel Baptist Church. Reverends Harley Bullman and Michael Hurst will officiate. Burial will follow in Wykle Family Cemetery off Blevins Road, Weaverville. The family will receive friends 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm prior to the service, at the church. At other times, the family will be at 81 Blevins Road, Weaverville, NC 28787.
