Obituary for Georgia Walteen Worley (Anderson)
Georgia Walteen Anderson Worley, age 87, passed away Saturday July 8, 2023. She was born April 15, 1936, in Madison County to the late William Curtis and Martha Roberts Anderson.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by an infant son, Ricky Dean Worley; her sisters, Edna Roberts, Juanita Baldwin, Nora Correll, Robbie Evans, Della Roberts, and Eleana Gosnell; brothers, Ogden, Raymond, J.T., Ted, Carl, Dorsey, and Grover Anderson.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Leonard (Sherry), Billy (Terri). Bruce (Diane), Jeffrey (Kendall), Dennis (Kelli), Kenny (Cathy); an honorary son, Mike Pruitt (Kim); 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; a sister, Pearalee Bridges; and several special nieces including Darlyne and Marlene.
The family would like to say Thank You to Davita Dialysis, and Terri Worley, Ashley Jenkins, and Caitlynn Worley for the special care they gave Nanny.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday July 11, 2023, in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Pastor Danny Jenkins will officiate with special speakers, Mr. Tyler Worley, Mrs. Jennifer Workman, and Mrs. Ashley Jenkins. Burial will follow in Madison Hills Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 2:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
