Obituary for Grace Worley (Randall)

Grace Randall Worley, 93, of Alexander NC, completed her journey on Sunday April 16, 2023, to be with her Savior and dear loved ones in Heaven. Born January 12, 1930, to the Late Johnny and Eva Worley Randall of Madison County, she was the last living survivor of 16 children. Grace and her late husband, Lamer Worley lived in Madison County until moving their family to Buncombe County in 1969. She was a member of Old Bull Creek Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lamer Worley who passed away April 23, 1987; daughter, Debra Sue Proffitt; granddaughter, Julia Lynn Garrison Arrington; and daughter-in-law, Wanda Worley.

Grace was a tender, warm-hearted, loving, caring person, always wanting to give from the heart. When someone came to visit, mother was always looking for something to give them, whether it be food, clothes, shoes, or a purse.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda Robinson and husband Leonard of Mars Hill, Virginia Buckner of Marshall, Roselee Maynor, and husband Zale of Weaverville; sons, Glen and Jerry Worley of Alexander; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 4 great great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm Saturday April 22, 2023, in Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Home. Her funeral will be held at 2:00 pm following visitation at the funeral home, with Rev. Kenneth Pack, Rev. Ken Parker, and Brother Joel Fox will officiate. Burial will follow in the North Fork Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
