Obituary for Hugh Riddle
Hugh Riddle, 61, of Weaverville, walked into the arms of Jesus on September 19, 2022. He was the son of the late Grady and Nellie Hoyle Riddle. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Auvery and Charles Riddle, and his fur baby Toby Tritt Riddle. Hugh enjoyed spending time with his family, playing golf, fishing, and riding his Harley. Hugh was a truck driver for over 40 years and having traveled to all lower 48 states. He was employed with Scott Haynie Trucking until his unexpected illness.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife Denise Riddle, son Jeremy Biggs (Samantha) all of Weaverville, Jeffery Biggs of Burnsville. Brothers: Hayes Riddle of Chuckey, TN; Clayton Riddle (Debra) of Arden and Casey Riddle (Rita) of Weaverville; Sisters: Pauline Langworthy of Melbourne, FL; Dot Clemmons of St. Petersburg, FL; Nadine Waldrop of Leicester; Sisters and Brothers in law Kim and Joe Watts of Jacksonville, FL; Anissa and Chip Dixon of Burnsville and Misty Miller of Burnsville. He was G-Paw to Abigail, Oliver, Brooklyn, and Jensen. His fur baby Harlee Daniel Riddle. A host of nieces and nephews and many friends also survive.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am Saturday, September 24, 2022, at Locust Grove Baptist Church. Rev. Brent Snyder and Rev. Dr. Walter Ponder will officiate. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm, Friday, September 23, 2022, at Blue Ridge Funeral Service.
