Clara Arrington Norton, 91, of Marshall, passed away March 2, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Homer and Maye Harmon Arrington. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Stokley Luke Norton; a daughter, Sharon Norton Ramsey; son-in-law, Kevin Ogle; sisters, Velda Rice, Megget Arrington, and Iva Glen Phillips; brothers, Dedrick, Maynard and Homer Junior Arrington.

Clara is survived by, daughter, Vonda Ogle; son, Doyle Norton; sisters, Uzziel Rice and Willie Faye Adams; brothers, Zaderick, Maylon and Dwight Arrington; grandchildren, Donna Summers, Stacy Ramsey, Krystal, Jason, Josh, Justin and Clarrissa Norton; 14 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral & Cremation Service. Rev. Wade Rice will officiate. The burial will follow in the Dill Cemetery, Eller Cove Road, Weaverville, NC.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Clara loved attending church, singing gospel hymns, gardening, and growing her flower beds. She enjoyed taking care of her grand bears and her two cats.
