Obituary for James Willard Carter
Mr. James Willard Carter, 78, of Marshall, NC died peacefully at his home on Saturday, November 26, 2022. James was the son of the late Zeb Carter, Sr. and Maggie Devine Carter. He was born in Madison Florida and served his country faithfully in the US Navy.
James is survived by his loving wife: Cricket Carter, two children: Becky Girard and husband Eric and Edd Carter and wife Shawna, four grandchildren: Devan Ray, Dalton Girard, Libby Carter, and Lacey Carter, one great grandchild: Crystie Ray, four sisters: Mary Alice Floyd, Betty Carter, Jimmie Lee Scott and Patricia Ramsey, and two brothers: Zeb Carter, Jr., and Johnny Carter.
A Celebration of James’ Life will be held at his home on Sunday, December 4, 2022, at 2:00pm at his home located at 987 Bone Camp Road, Marshall, NC with the Rev. Mitchell Woodard officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to Hospice or donate a bag of dog and cat food to a shelter of your choice.
