Obituary for Janet Colline Boos (Daniels)

Janet Colline Daniels Boos, who hates her middle name, but her daughter absolutely loves it, went to be with God peacefully on Saturday, April 23, 2022. If Heaven is what we think it is, we are confident she’s there hugging her late fur child, Bella, and spoiling every 4-legged animal that crosses her path, finally uninhibited by her bodily restraint.

She is survived by her amazing children, (who obviously wrote this) Kimi Lindeman (Tim) and Ron Boos (Tabby), her daughter-by-heart Tina Lindeman, her grandchildren, Tim, Kierstin, Robert, Katelynn, Zach, Sammy, and little Ronnie, the best big sister anyone could ever ask for, Joyce Tarrant, her most favorite niece in the entire world (just don’t tell her she’s her only niece!) Denise Doss, the greatest great niece, Dani, and the kindest baby brother a big sister could ask for, Chuck Daniels.

The fourth child of six born to Charlie and Helen Daniels, originally of Wayne County, KY, she is preceded in death by her parents, by her partner in crime all through childhood, (and with a heart to rival Dolly Parton) sister Jean, her oldest brother Mike, and her baby sister Sharon.

She outlived her husbands (and unfortunately for all of us, didn’t financially benefit, even with typical black-widow rumor mill working overtime) and lived out her once hectic, chaotic life in happy-hippy peace in the mountains of NC on her daughter’s farm, in a tiny house that her son in law, Tim, built just for her with his own two hands, giving her the very first and only home she could ever call completely all her own.

In lieu of flowers that wilt or trinkets that get lost over time, please remember Janet by donating to an animal rescue or local women’s’ shelter in your own area to support your community.

Never knowing a single stranger in life, always willing to give all of herself to others in need, she was partial to supporting rescues of pit bulls, who just like her, have been misunderstood and labeled, often not given a chance to thrive in this world. She left this world safe, warm, well loved, entirely forgiven, and at true peace with those who mattered the most. There is a private ceremony planned for when the flowers she planted from her late sister Jean’s garden begin to bloom in her favorite spot on the family farm.
