Jeremiah “Jeremy” Ryan Metcalf, age 41, of Mars Hill, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 5, 2022. He is now walking hand in hand with his savior. To know Jeremy was to love him and he will be greatly missed by all.

He is survived by his beloved wife Julie of twenty years. They were high school sweethearts and they each found the one whom their souls loved. Aside from Julie, left to cherish his memory are his mother Shelia Metcalf (Mark Lisenbee), his father Edmond Metcalf, sister, Brianna Lisenbee, grandmother, Veradean "Granny" Metcalf , brothers-in-law: Ryan Moss (Nicole), Shaun Moss (Karen); nieces: Shauna and Kelsey Moss and nephew Eli Moss. A brother by heart, Gary Sprinkle and his wife Chastity and son Justin, daughter of his heart Jessika Miles, aunts: Kathy Bailey (Richard), Debbie Bailey, Amanda Ogle (Jim); uncles: Chris Bailey (Ava), Johnny Bailey (Ann); special cousins: Ricky, Rebecca and Ruben Bailey, Erick McMahan, and many many more whom he loved. Also, special friends, Bobby, Jerry and Danny Sprinkle.

His funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at Metcalf Creek Baptist Church. Officiating Pastors will be Scotty Cole and Everette McMahan. Burial will follow at Tildon-Metcalf Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Ryan Moss, Shaun Moss, Eric McMahan, Mitchell Lunsford, Gary Sprinkle, Justin Sprinkle, Austin Effler, Bryson Effler and Nathaniel Bailey.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
