Obituary for Judy Sue Wallin

Judy Sue Wallin, 67, fought her final war with pain and our Lord Jesus called her home on Sunday, April 18, 2021. Judy was born to the late Troy Ellis and Lila Mae Connor Wallin on August 25, 1953.
She is survived by her son, Pastor Eddie Wallin, his wife of 22 years, Jennifer; “the best” grandchildren Edward, Samuel, Joshua and Jayanna Wallin; special sister in Christ and friend “Granny” Rachel Chandler Shook (great maternal grandmother); brothers, Kenny and Jerry Wallin; sisters, Sharon “Sissy” Wallin and Nancy Wallin; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Judy was in faithful attendance at Upper Walnut Creek Independent Missionary Baptist Church until her treatments and battle with cancer became too great and our flock attended to God’s sheep in need. She worked and labored throughout this life in many different titles and found her calling as a CNA supervisor and Med Tech at Mars Hill Retirement Community caring and serving others as Christ led. Most of the time Judy was caring and serving her family and friends from the goodness God put in her heart when the Lord saved her soul as a 14-year-old girl. Judy has now reached God’s sweet heaven.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverends Larry Sprouse and Anthony Roberts will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Blue Ridge Funeral Service to assist with final expenses.
Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.blueridgefuneralservice.org.
