Obituary for Kenneth Eugene Mesker

Kenneth Mesker, 76, died in his sleep July 12, 2022 at his home in Madison County, NC. He was born the 25th of November, 1945 in Delphos, Ohio one of 13 children of Frank and Dorothy Mesker. Ken graduated high school, served in the Army and worked as a barber in Florida before meeting and marrying his wife, Donna. After moving to Madison County in 1977 they settled in Marshall, NC and raised 4 boys, Stephen, Kenny, Frank and Patrick. They were members of the local congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses for 22 years and then began serving in the Asheville Spanish congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1999.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Donna, and three sons, Kenny,Frank and Patrick as well as one grandson, Logan, and 4 granddaughters, Ema, Maegan, Stella and Milah, and his brother, Tony(Margee) of Delphos, Ohio and his sister Irene of Florida, and many, many nieces and nephews and their children.

Ken was very active in writing letters to inmates all over the US to assist them in their study of the Bible and finding hope from God’s message. In addition to his ministry, Kenneth loved history, doing crosswords, watching old movies and reading nonfiction. He visited the library regularly. He was known for his humor and generosity and will be deeply missed by his family and friends until he wakes up in the paradise he so long anticipated.
