Obituary for Larry Fox

Larry Fox, age 69 went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, February 23, 2022. He is the son of the late Wade and Annie Mae Ponder Fox.

He is survived by his wife, Ella McCurry Fox; daughter Stephanie Sexton (Kevin); son Larry Joe Fox (Tya); sister, Laverne Warren; grandchildren, Nicole Girard (Jonathan); Michael Constantine (Leah); Christian Sexton, Katherine Haney, Zerik Haney, Kreelin Buckner and Tynisa Fox, and nephew Brian Warren. He was looking forward to his first great grandchild, Nora Rose Constantine who is expected to arrive in April, 2022.

He was a loving man who loved the Lord more than anything. He talked about his ‘sweet Jesus’ and how He would never let him down. His biggest desire was that no one would ever die lost. Second only to the love of the Father was his love for everyone, which the Lord put in him. He often would say, "I just love everybody, I love people," and he meant every word of it. His heart was soft for those in need. He was not rich as far as this world goes, but what he had was yours if you were in need.

There was never one second of doubt of his love. His heart was strong and pure. His wife and children were undoubtedly blessed. To say he was an amazing Husband, Daddy, Paw, and brother is an understatement. He was also the most amazing father-in-law anyone could ask to have. As his daughter-in-law put it, “He is ‘my handsome.' He is beautiful inside and out. After knowing him for almost 21 years, he never said a harsh word to me. He welcomed me with open arms and love that has never wavered. His love is so honest and genuine.” He treated his son-in-law the same way. They were his children as well.
His grandchildren were the apple of his eye. He loved each one of them dearly, and they loved him. As his granddaughter, Nicole, said, “Many adored him and called him ‘funny man' for his sense of humor. He was always joking and quick-witted. Cutting up and making everyone laugh brought him joy. The love in his heart was abundant; it was vastly unmeasurable. He was an amazing Paw; the best anyone could ever ask for.”

The treasures he left behind are the memories with him that God has given us. The one thing he would share with everyone would be knowing Jesus Christ and accepting Him as Lord and Savior. In the end, he well understood this to be the paramount focus of life.
