Obituary for Larry Ralph Lunsford
Larry Ralph Lunsford, age 70, formerly of 86 Pleasant Grove Road Weaverville, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 12, 2023. He was born May 23, 1952, in Buncombe County to the late Ralph Eugene and Maybelle Ward Lunsford.
Larry retired after many years of service at K-Mart on Patton Avenue to which he made many friends. He was also known around Buncombe and Madison Counties where he loved to eat and socialize. Larry especially loved going to church, attending North Buncombe sporting events, watching the Atlanta Braves games, and watching his nephew's, league bowl.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his stepmother, Betty McFarland, and special friend, Louise Kehoe.
Left to cherish his memory are his sister, Mary Deane Roberts and husband Bill; nephews, Michael and William Roberts; grandniece, Gabriella Roberts; grandnephew, Sam Roberts; stepsisters, Linda Barnwell and husband Tom, and Ethel Barnwell and husband George; stepbrother, Tommy Wilde and wife Barbara, and their families.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30 pm Thursday March 23, 2023, at First Born Baptist Church, 118 Upper Grove Lane, Weaverville. Reverends Jerry Jamerson and Mike McGuire will officiate. The family will receive friends 1:30 pm– 2:30 pm prior to the service at the church.
Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Union Church Cemetery, 85 Pleasant Grove Road, Weaverville.
