Obituary for Loyd James Willis
Loyd James Willis, age 91, of Mars Hill, passed away Saturday May 27, 2023. He was a son of the late Ed and Bonnie Hollifield Willis. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.
Loyd was a deacon at Peek’s Chapel Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Ruby Arrington Willis; his son, Larry Willis, and his wife Louise; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday May 31, 2023, in Mars Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverends Mark Crowder and Vince Keith will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Peek’s Chapel Baptist Church.
