Obituary for Margaret Amazetta Brown (Loven)

Margaret Loven Brown, age 92, passed peacefully into her Savior's arms in the early morning hours on Tuesday, February 22, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Natt T., Sr. and Minnie Miller Loven and the loving wife of the late Richard F. Brown. She was born and resided in Buncombe County NC her whole life. Margaret was a 1948 graduate of Oakley High School and retired from Hadley Corporation in 1988. She was of the Christian faith and a member of Piney Mountain Baptist Church. Her greatest loves were Jesus, her family, and her home. She had a phenomenal memory and loved to tell the stories of her lifetime. She enjoyed vegetable gardening and canning and was an avid fan of the NC Tar Heels basketball team and the Atlanta Braves baseball team.

In addition to her parents and husband, Margaret was predeceased by brothers, N. T. Loven, Jr. and Ben Loven (Reva) and sisters; Marcel Medling, Bobbie Parris (Rex) and Vereda Chastain (Harvey), brother-in-law, William Gardner and sisters-in-law, Helen Burnette (Pete) and Hilda Cross (Clay).

Surviving to cherish precious memories of Margaret are her son, Danny Joe Brown (Kathy) and daughter, Connie Brown Linton (Paul), granddaughters, Aimee Brown Bumgarner (Mark), Laura Brown McCracken (Kenneth) and Melanie Herron Aiello (Matthew), great grandchildren, Kathryn Margaret Bumgarner, Andrew Brown Bumgarner and Benjamin David Bumgarner, a beloved sister, Beatrice Gardner, a sisterĀ­in-law, Margie Loven, as well as many nieces and nephews from the Loven and Brown families.

Visitation will begin Thursday, February 24. 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service in Mars Hill, NC. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel. Officiants will be Revs. Jerry Jamerson and Eric Dimsdale. Nephews will be pallbearers. Burial will follow in the Piney Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery. Flowers will be appreciated. Memorial contributions may be made to Piney Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery Fund at P. 0. Box 1927, Weaverville, NC 28787.
