Obituary for Mark Freeman

Mark Freeman, 59, a lifelong native of Marshall, NC passed away at his home, surrounded by loved ones, on August 29, 2022.

As an avid outdoorsman, he spent his free time hunting, fishing, and camping. Mark loved the Lord and made his church in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina. He was a carpenter by trade, and never found something he couldn’t fix. Mark never met a dog he didn’t like or a Lynyrd Skynyrd song he didn’t know.

He is survived by his twin daughters Rebecca and Vanessa Freeman, longtime girlfriend, Kim Dingle, and very special cousin and honorary sister Jennifer Bradley Selman. Also surviving are brothers Dennis and Mike, and sister Joan Flynn. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wade and Emma Freeman, his son Zach Freeman, and several special dogs (Bobo, Bandit, Smokey, Maggie).

For his final wishes, Mark requested no funeral services. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his name to Compassionate Care Hospice, who took extraordinarily good care of him and his family during this difficult time.
