Patricia Anders Chandler, 79, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2020 at John F. Keever Solace Center. She is the daughter of the late Carl and Ethel Shuford Anders and a lifelong resident of Madison County. Patricia retired from Micro Switch and Mars Hill Elementary School. She was also a volunteer grandparent with Madison County Head Start Program and a member of Forks of Ivy Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Patricia is preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Lynn, Lois, Lizzie, Mary Joe, Bill, Lillian, Harold, Lorriane, Ina Jean, Junior, Wilma, Raymond, and Nathan. She was the last living child of 13 siblings.
Patricia is survived by her son Harold Rodney Howell of Leicester; daughter, Tracy Howell (Phillip) of Marshall; grandsons, Cameron Howell of Leicester and Tyler Jodry of Mars Hill; granddaughter, Tasha Rigsby (Derek) of Burnsville; great grandchildren, Clarissa, Canyon, and Channing Rigsby, and Jaxx and Calleigh Phillips; and special loved ones, Brent and April Phillips.
Patricia struggled with Parkinson’s disease and mild dementia. She loved watching her son Rodney and then Tyler and Cameron play baseball, and she loved everyone of the boys they played ball with and they called her “Nanny Pat.” Trent Sherlin (Victoria) held a special place in her heart, she was his Nanny also.
