Patsy Ann Goldsmith Johnson Anderson, 82, of the Walnut Community gained her wings on Monday December 12, 2022. Patsy Ann was born on February 15, 1940. She was a faithful member of Walnut Missionary Baptist Church. Patsy Ann had a green thumb which she shared with the community through her work at both Madison Florist and Shady Side Florist. Patsy Ann was a loving mother and grandmother. She kept a close relationship with many family members both inside and outside of the state and was a shining light to all who met her.
Mrs. Anderson is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Goldsmith Sr. and Ester Charity Brewer Goldsmith, first husband Elmerse “Pete” Johnson, and second husband Ted Anderson.
Surviving is her son, Marty Johnson; Granddaughter Rachel Worley and husband Clark; brother Ernest Goldsmith Jr. (Barbara Sue), Lifelong friend Joanne Schreiber; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at 2:00 pm in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service with the Reverend Robert Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow at the Goldsmith Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 prior to the service.
