Patty was a big part of my life. She worked cheerfully worked to hem my pants and shirt sleeves, patch jeans, took in pants, let out shirts, replace zippers, create dresses for special occasions, and fixed the all messes I tried to sew myself. She never passed judgement on weight gain or loss, she always asked about my family, welcomed my dog when I brought him, and always greeted me with a smile. When I had my youngest son, he wanted miniature soldier clothes and matching parachutes, crazy patches sewn on his clothes and Patty always, always did a professional job for hardly any money, and so quickly. She helped me become better at my own clothes repair and sweetly, patiently explained how to do this stitch or that knot. Patty has been my personal tailor, sewing expert and friend since I was 7 years old and I will deeply miss having her call me to say, “Cindy, this is Patty. Your things are ready!”
Deepest condolences to the family, she loved telling me about all of you and was so proud of how kind you all are. Just like her.

I am so grateful to have had Patty in my family's life since my childhood and then when I became a mother myself. Patty always took care of our sewing needs and our favorite phrase when something didn't fit right was "Patty can fix it!" She consistently put others before herself and was the most Godly woman I have ever known. Her funeral today was a blessing to me and honored the woman that all of us knew was an angel on earth. My love to the Buckner family and thanks to Mt. Sheba for the beautiful tribute to her. I will heed the call of her nephew, Rev. Kevin Raby to take up the mantle now that Patty is in heaven. I'm so sorry to hear about Mrs. Buckner's passing. She was the sweetest lady and did alterations for me for several years. She was so talented, and I always enjoyed our conversations. Prayers for your family.
