Rodney “Junior” James Carver, 51, of Barnardsville, NC died at his home on Monday, January 11th, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Junior was born on July 5th, 1969 to Jimmy Dale and Glenda Joyce Deweese Carver in Buncombe County, NC. He fought like the warrior that he was and won the battle and gained his wings. Junior was loved and will be missed. He loved helping others and never expected anything in return. Junior was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Junior was preceded in death by his father: Jimmy Dale Carver; and one brother-in-law: Billy Dean Anders and special friend Larry Metcalf.

Junior is survived by his wife: Connie Anders Carver of their home in Barnardsville, NC; his mother: Glenda Joyce Deweese Carver; daughter, Haley Summey (Charles); two sons: Brandon Anders (Elizabeth) and Dakota Carver; one sister: Joyce Rice (David); two brothers: Rocky Carver (Candy) and Christopher Carver (Lorena); and four grandchildren: Charlie, Melody, Alyssa, and Alayah; and special friends: Roger and Sherry Anders and Scott and Vicky Griffith.

A funeral will be held on Thursday, January 14th, 2021 at 2pm in Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel at Blue Ridge Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Holcombe Branch Cemetery.
