Rodney Gerald Shelton, 75, of Aurora, IL passed away on May 16, 2022. He was born January 7, 1947, the son of Georgia and Moody Shelton. He was a Machinist, worked and retired from Aurora Custom Machining. After retirement you could usually find him playing Golf, a game he truly loved. His laughter was contagious, he always had a good joke to tell, loved the thrill of an amusement ride, and was a loyal White Sox fan.
Rodney is survived by his sister, Glennis Cutshall of North Carolina; two daughters, Sandra Shelton-Miller (Jim) of Illinois and Jeannie C Bushnell (Dave) of Florida; one son, Rodney C. Shelton (Chasity) of Illinois; five Grandchildren, Jason Alvarez of Illinois, Callie Sellers of Georgia, Brandon Shelton of Colorado, Amanda Toliver of Georgia and Blake Bushnell of Florida; eight Great Grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many good friends.
He is preceded in death by his Father and Mother, Moody and Georgia Shelton; sister, Roberta Shelton; and brother, Hartford Shelton.
A funeral service will be held 2:00pm Thursday, May 26, 2022, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The burial will follow in the Barnett-Shelton Cemetery.
