Thomas Wayne Tweed, born March 17, 1937, went to be with our Lord, Friday, January 22, 2021. He was a native of Madison County and lived in Marshall, NC his entire life. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, great grandfather, and devoted Christian. He was a member of the Red Oak Church of Christ, but in recent years he attended Gaston Street Church of Christ with is wife Sue. He is preceded in death by his parents, Aaron and Murphy Fox Tweed; brothers, Richard and Willard; sisters, Evelyn, Vernell, Inez and Gladys, and grandson Gary David Toon.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Sue Williams Tweed; daughters, DeLee Toon (Dennis) of Asheville, Brenda Elkins (Lonnie) of Marshall and Christine Buckner (Danny) of Marshall; sons, Dewayne Tweed (Debbie) of Mars Hill and Steve Tweed of Marshall; 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all.

The family will receive friends 1:00 – 2:00PM Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Following the visitation, a graveside service will be held in the Red Oak Church of Christ Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandsons; Dustin Toon, Jeff Elkins, Isaac and Dylan Tweed, Aaron and Nolan Tweed and honorary pallbearer; Conner Reynolds.
