Winston David Lloyd, 79, of Ivy Hill Church Road, Mars Hill, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2020. He is the son of the late Minard and Climey Hensley Lloyd and a lifelong resident of Madison County. Winston is preceded in death by his wife, Faye Shook Lloyd and his son, Gregory “Doc” Lloyd. He, his wife Faye, and son Greg opened Discount Monument Center in the 1980’s. Winston was very proud of their family business and worked hard until retirement in 2014. He served as pastor at several Church of God churches in the community, serving at Ivy Ridge Church of God for over 30 years. Winston was most proud and honored to preach for the Church of God. He is also preceded in death by his sisters, Mafra Ray, Geneva Edwards, Juanita and Vonda Williams, Louise Shelton, and Brenda Rice, and brothers J.D. and Frasier Lloyd.

Winston is survived by his sister, Gwinnith Metcalf; brother, Doyle Lloyd (Tiny); brother-in-law, Paul Bailey; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2pm Friday, December 18, 2020, at Ivy Ridge First Church of God Cemetery.
